LE&RN funds groundbreaking research

The Washington Post's recent article on lymphatic research highlighted the work of Dr. Kari Alitalo and Dr. Jonathan Kipnis. This recent discovery regarding lymphatics in the brain is opening a whole new world of research for brain related diseases, from MS to Alzheimer's to Parkinson's. Through the contributions of Supporting Members and Corporate Partners, LE&RN has been able to support the work of both labs.

  • LE&RN is funding a postdoctoral fellowship to Antoine Louveau at the Kipnis lab at the University of Virginia.
  • Dr. Kari Alitalo is a long time member of LE&RN's Scientific Medical Advisory Council.
  • Aleksanteri Aspelund of the University of Helsinki/Wihuri Research Institute, Finland, was a recipient of a LE&RN Poster award at the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) Lymphatics 2016 and is a member of the Alitalo lab.
