Lecture on Demystifying Lymphedema Management

WHO estimates that over 150 million
people worldwide have secondary LE. It
also estimates that over 120 million are
affected with Lymphatic Filariasis (LF),
leaving 40 million disfigured and
incapacitated.
Lymphedema affects an estimated
15% of all cancer survivors and up to
30% of all those treated for Breast
Cancer.
India accounts for 40% of global
Lymphedema burden. When it comes to
the management of Lymphedema the
Physiotherapists and Lymphedema
Therapists plays a major role.
This lecture is aimed to give an
Exposure to the upcoming physiotherapy
Students towards the field of management
And rehabilitation of Lymphedema
Patients.
