On the occasion of World Lymphedema Day, we invite you to join us on March 19th for our lymphedema awareness event, organized by the Plastic Surgery Department of UZ Brussel, Belgium. Since one in every four women with breast cancer will likely develop lymphedema, this topic should be of great interest to all Kinesiotherapists and general practitioners.
The four-hour session will focus on better understanding lymphedema, how we can prevent it and how Kinesiotherapists and general practitioners can offer early help to their patients suffering from this condition. You will learn about the signs and symptoms of lymphedema, the cutting-edge diagnostic tools and the surgical treatments that the Lymph Clinic at UZ Brussel can offer to help these patients and you will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with our experts. By attending, you will gain hands-on knowledge as to how you can help your patients by referring them to a lymphedema specialist.
