World Lymphedema Day Basel

Basel, Switzerland

On March 26, 2025, we are hosting the first-ever World Lymphedema Day in Basel, bringing together patients, specialists, and healthcare providers for an informative and interactive event focused on lymphedema treatment and management.

The event will feature expert presentations on the development, causes, diagnosis, and treatment of lymphedema, covering both surgical and conservative therapy options. A key highlight will be our hands-on session led by our physiotherapists, where attendees can experience and learn about manual lymphatic drainage techniques, specialized physiotherapy exercises, and practical self-management strategies to support long-term lymphedema care.

In addition, there will be live demonstrations of compression therapy, where the Orthopedic House Kiechle will showcase different types of compression garments, explain their correct use, and provide guidance on selecting the best options for individual needs.

Beyond the structured program, the event offers a valuable opportunity for exchange, allowing patients to ask questions directly to specialists, share experiences with fellow attendees, and gain practical tips for their personal lymphedema journey. We invite everyone to stay for an informal networking session over an apéro, where they can connect with healthcare professionals and other patients in a relaxed setting.

As this is our first time organizing this event in Basel, we are eager to hear your feedback and insights to shape future editions. The event is free of charge, and while registration is not required, we would appreciate it if you let us know in advance if you plan to attend.
