The medi lymphedema therapy concept is a new approach in the treatment of lymphedema. It combines the decongestion phase and the transition phase with the maintenance phase and provides the right products for every stage of treatment. The medi 3-step therapy concept offers indication-adapted care that encourages patient self-management and thus contributes to long-term success in the treatment of lymphedema.
Phase 1 – Decongestion: During this phase, the focus is on reducing the lymphatic load and encouraging the development of drainage. Use the circaid reduction kit, an adjustable inelastic compression device for individual, effective and fast reduction in limb volume.
Phase 2 – Transition: During this phase, the focus is on preventing rebound swelling, evaluating long-term maintenance strategies, and supporting self-management. Use the circaid juxtafit, an adjustable inelastic compression device that is effective and easy to self-manage.
Phase 3 – Maintenance: During this phase, the focus is on limiting swelling and gaining long-term control of the condition. Use mediven flat knit garments or circaid juxtafit or circaid graduate. There is a wide range of inelastic and inelastic compression solutions for individual needs.
