Lymphatic researchers support LE&RN’s request for U.S. Senate fund increases

Dear LE&RN Supporting Members and other advocates,

At the recent LE&RN/NAVBO-sponsored Lymphatic Forum in Austin, TX, LE&RN asked researchers to join the fight for expanded research funding. In response, over 100 attending researchers heeded the call to action and signed a letter affirming the urgency of funding lymphatic research.

LE&RN's Washington government relations team then delivered this letter to the offices of the Chairs and Ranking Members of the Senate Labor, Health and Human Service (LHHS) and Defense Appropriations subcommittees to bolster LE&RN's request for increased lymphatic disease research funding

These committees have jurisdiction over medical research funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DoD). The committees look to experts in the field for guidance on these issues. The signers’ support is critical and timely, as the Senate has yet to markup their appropriations bills.

Please read this letter and see the advocates who affixed their name to it. LE&RN applauds and thanks them all.

Sincerely,

William Repicci, LE&RN President & CEO
