Inaugural CME Physician Seminar held in Boston

Dr. Stanley Rockson (pictured at right) kicked off LE&RN’s first CME Physician Seminar at The Harvard Club in Boston on July 21. Attended by physicians, nurses, therapists, and researchers, the day-long event included lectures by the nation's leading authorities in lymphatic medicine. The Seminar is now available to hospitals across the country. Physicians will also soon be able to get their Continuing Medical Education credits by taking the seminar online through the LE&RN website.

The CME Seminar was made possible by a generous grant from Lympha Press and Sigvaris.

Lymphatic researchers needed for NIH Study Sections

Lymphatic researchers have long told LE&RN about the need to include reviewers with expertise in lymphatics on NIH Study Sections to review lymphatic grant applications. We received good news this past month with a positive response from NIH Scientific Review Officers (SROs). LE&RN President & CEO William Repicci reached out to lymphatic researchers, calling on them to serve as NIH Study Section reviewers. We are optimistic that this development will raise awareness for lymphatic research and lead to an increase in grant approvals for lymphatic research.
