October 2021

From William Repicci, President & CEO

This weekend begins a busy period of online conferences for the LE and LD communities. The Boston Lymphatic Patient Symposium will be this Saturday, October 30, an NIH Clinical Pre-Conference will be held free of charge on November 4, and the Boston Lymphatic Patient Symposium will be held November 5-6. LE&RN's Lymphatic Summit will be held November 12-13 and registration is now open. The Canada National Lymphedema Conference takes place December 3-4; Kathy Bates will deliver their keynote address. All these informative conferences will include a showing of the play "Let's Talk Lymphedema."

This month LE&RN proudly announced five newly designated Centers of Excellence. We congratulate these institutions that are constantly striving to better serve our community.

LE&RN is already getting ready for World Lymphedema Day on March 6. If you live outside the United States, we could use your help. See below for more information.

As President & CEO of LE&RN, I thank you for your ongoing support, which makes our progress possible.

I am pleased to present you with the October edition of Lymphedema & Lymphatic Disease Matters.

The event is organized and hosted by Dr. Stanley Rockson, Allan and Tina Neill Professor of Lymphatic Research and Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and founding Chair of the LE&RN Scientific & Medical Advisory Council.
