Mike Masters Mike Masters Founder/Portfolio Manager/Chief Investment Officer

Mike Masters founded Masters Capital Management in 1994 with a vision for an investment company that would align with his professional and personal values. Mike is proof that a conscience-first approach to investing can be both financially and ethically rewarding.

A lifelong learner, Mike takes a unique approach to markets and investing, applying principles from philosophy, psychology and behavioral finance. He has become a sought-after industry expert who shares his knowledge and perspectives in a variety of ways. He has presented his ideas in front of the United Nations General Assembly, the Canadian Parliament and numerous colleges and universities, including Harvard, Georgia Tech, and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He has appeared on 60 Minutes, CBS News, CNBC, BBC and BBC Korea, and in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, among others.

While his firm largely flies under the radar, Mike is better known in Washington, D.C. In the last decade, he has testified before many congressional committees and government agencies in an effort to hold the financial industry accountable for the downstream effects of its collective actions.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was an All-American swimmer. The 2004 winner of the “Open Your Heart” award from Hedge Funds Care, he currently serves on the boards of several charitable and private organizations.

Mark Toland Mark Toland

Mark Toland is the CEO of MMI Inc., a microsurgical robotics company. Before joining MMI, Mark served as the President and CEO of Corindus where he transformed the company into the industry leader in vascular robotics with the only approved system for coronary, peripheral and neurovascular indications. The Siemens Healthineers acquisition of Corindus for $1.1 billion was the fifth largest medical technology acquisition of 2019. Prior to Corindus, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Boston Scientific, where he built the company’s global healthcare solutions business and led all aspects of the U.S. commercial team’s cardiovascular businesses, which represented approximately $4 billion in revenue.

Mark has over 25 years of medical device experience. He sits on the Board of Directors for two surgical robotics companies, Moon Surgical and Horizon Surgical Systems, as well as AVS, an intravascular lithotripsy company. He previously served on the Board of Cardiologs, a cardiovascular AI company that was acquired by global health technology leader, Philips, in 2021 to broaden its portfolio of cardiac solutions and AI innovation. He is also a Managing Director at BioStar Capital, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. Mr. Toland holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.

Donovan Mitchell, Sr. Donovan Mitchell, Sr.

Donovan Mitchell is a baseball executive and former professional player with more than 30 years of experience in Professional Baseball. As Senior Director of Community Inclusion and Player Relations for the New York Mets, he leads initiatives that strengthen player support, foster inclusive workplace culture, and deepen community engagement.

Since joining the Mets organization in 1999, Donovan has held numerous leadership roles spanning player relations, community outreach, and diversity and inclusion. He has been instrumental in developing programs that promote cultural awareness, mentorship, and organizational excellence across all levels of the club.

Prior to his front-office career, Donovan spent seven seasons as a professional player after being selected by the Houston Astros in the 14th round of the 1992 MLB Draft. He later served as a coach and manager throughout the Mets' minor league system, helping develop future major league talent.

A former standout athlete at UNC Charlotte, Donovan remains committed to empowering the next generation of athletes and leaders through mentorship, inclusion, and community impact.

Nicole Faccio Nicole Faccio

Nicole Faccio is a patient advocate, speaker, and content creator living with congenital primary lymphedema and WILD syndrome. Diagnosed at birth, Nicole has spent nearly four decades navigating the realities of a complex lymphatic condition that affects much of her body. Through her personal platform, @facciolita, she has become a leading voice in the global lymphedema community, using education, storytelling, and fashion to challenge stigma and change perceptions of compression therapy and chronic illness.

Nicole serves as a Trustee of the British Lymphology Society and is a member of the Policy Action Group at EURORDIS, where she contributes to initiatives that improve awareness, advocacy, and support for people living with rare and chronic conditions.

Beyond advocacy, Nicole is a Product Director in the digital industry, bringing more than 13 years of experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs across healthcare, government, financial services, telecommunications, and automotive sectors.

Nicole is passionate about ensuring that people with lymphedema feel seen, supported, and represented.

Joseph Dayan, MD Joseph Dayan, MD

Dr. Joseph Dayan is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a focus on breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery. In 2024, he established The Institute for Lymphatic Surgery and Innovation within the Institute for Advanced Reconstruction.

Dr. Dayan obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, followed by a plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He completed a fellowship in advanced microsurgical reconstruction at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. With a strong interest in medical innovation, Dr. Dayan also completed an executive MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining The Institute, Dr. Dayan spent 10 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he established lymphatic surgery.

Dr. Dayan is internationally recognized for his contributions to the advancement of lymphedema surgery. He has pioneered new techniques with a focus on elevating the standard of care through innovation and research. Dr. Dayan specializes in lymphovenous bypass, vascularized lymph node transplant, and immediate lymphatic reconstruction.

Dr. Dayan is a recipient of the Godina Traveling Fellowship, recognizing his contributions to the field of microsurgery. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters, and recently edited the textbook “Multimodal Management of Upper and Lower Extremity Lymphedema”. Dr. Dayan is founding president of the American Society for Lymphatic Surgery and board member of the Lymphatic Education and Research Network to advocate for patients with lymphedema.

Dr. Dayan has been recognized as Castle Connolly's America's Top Doctor in 2024, Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area in 2023, and national and regional Top Doctor in New York Magazine from 2016 to 2020.

Maxim Itkin, MD Maxim Itkin, MD

Dr. Maxim Itkin is an internationally recognized leader in lymphatic medicine and interventional radiology. He serves as Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and is Director of the Center for Lymphatic Disorders at Penn Medicine, one of the world's leading programs dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of lymphatic diseases.

A pioneer in the field, Dr. Itkin has helped transform the understanding and treatment of complex lymphatic disorders through groundbreaking innovations in lymphatic imaging and minimally invasive interventions. His work has advanced care for patients with lymphedema, chylous disorders, central lymphatic flow disorders, and other rare lymphatic conditions, improving outcomes for patients around the world.

In addition to his clinical and research leadership, Dr. Itkin has trained physicians internationally and authored numerous scientific publications that have shaped the modern practice of lymphatic medicine. His contributions continue to drive progress in the field and offer hope to patients and families affected by lymphatic diseases.
