Two years ago, Dr. Stanley G. Rockson (Stanford University Endowed Chair in Lymphatic Medicine) drafted an article for the Journal of American Medicine (JAMA) to highlight the issues faced by the lymphatic disease community. The article was rejected within an hour of receipt, stating that the tone was inappropriate for their audience. We then published the article in Lymphatic Research & Biology. Lymphatic Medicine: Paradoxically and Unnecessarily Ignored by Stanley G. Rockson, MD
We then asked the community to write to AMA CEO & Executive Vice President, Dr. James Madara: James.madara@ama-assn.org with their own personal stories describing diagnosis and treatment and copying LE&RN on the emails. These stories appear here. Take the time to read them and then write your own email to Dr. Madara, cc'ing LE&RN. We will post the emails we receive.
