The 2nd meeting of the LE&RN MA Chapter will be on Saturday May 13th, 9:30-11:30am

Where: Mass General Hospital in Boston, 55 Fruit Street (details to follow)

Parking is available in the garages located in front of the hospital, Fruit Street Garage and Parkman Garage.  Rates $10/ 1-2 hr.
Everyone is welcome to attend!  This Chapter is here to create a supportive network for patients/families, lymphedema therapists, other clinicians and anyone with an interest in lymphedema.

LE&RN MA Chapter Meeting - Saturday, April 8th

There will be a meeting this Saturday April 8th for the new Massachusetts Chapter of LE&RN (Lymphatic Education & Lymphatic Network).  
Where:  Mass General Hospital, 55 Fruit Street
              Lunder Building, 2nd floor, Room #234
              Enter main lobby.  There is an information desk if you need directions to Lunder Building.  (It is located adjacent to main lobby)
Time:     9:30-11:00   Come for part or all of meeting - whatever works for your schedule.

March 6th is recognized as World Lymphedema Day. Lymphedema (LE) is chronic swelling caused by a build-up of fluid that occurs when the lymphatic system is either damaged or blocked. As many as 10 million people suffer from lymphedema in the US alone. That is more than MS, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, Parkinson’s and AIDS -- combined.

Come visit us to learn more about what causes lymphedema, the treatment, and how to manage this incurable disease. Resources will be provided to educate you on the lymphatic systems, advances in treatment, and ways that you can get involved.

This event is free and open to MGH staff, patients and visitors.
