Diann Paz
Chair, Texas Golden Crescent Region Chapter
In 2020, I was diagnosed with lipedema and later with secondary lymphedema, an experience that became the catalyst for my commitment to learning more about lymphatic disorders and advancing patient advocacy. As I navigated my own diagnoses, I quickly became aware of how many individuals live for years with lymphatic conditions without adequate information, guidance, or support.
Through my research, I discovered LE&RN and was deeply inspired by the organization’s mission to combat lymphatic diseases through education, research, and advocacy. This led me to become a Chapter Chair for the Texas Golden Crescent Region, where I am dedicated to raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and building a supportive community for patients and caregivers.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Science from Texas A&M University–Victoria and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Psychology at Walden University. Through the Texas Golden Crescent Region Chapter, I am committed to strengthening patient support and community engagement in alignment with LE&RN’s mission to advance advocacy, education, and research for lymphatic diseases.
