Prof. Guido Gabriele

Prof. Guido Gabriele earned his medical degree and completed his specialization in maxillofacial surgery at the University of Rome. He also holds a PhD in Medical Biotechnologies from the University of Siena.
Prof. Gabriele developed a strong interest in lymphatic surgery following surgical fellowships at the University of Tokyo. Since 2010, he has played a leading role in introducing supramicrosurgical treatment for lymphedema in Italy. He has completed numerous surgical and research fellowships throughout Europe, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and China, further expanding his expertise in the surgical management of head and neck conditions, lymphatic disorders, and lipedema.
He served as Associate Professor at the University of Siena for more than a decade and, since 2026, has been affiliated with Link Campus University in Rome. He has authored more than 100 publications in international journals and serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals and research foundations. In addition to his clinical and teaching work, Prof. Gabriele has a strong commitment to research and has coordinated multiple nationally and internationally funded research projects.
His combined expertise in maxillofacial and lymphatic surgery provides a unique foundation for treating complex conditions, including head and neck lymphedema. He is committed to patient-specific, minimally invasive approaches that integrate multiple therapeutic strategies to improve outcomes.
Prof. Gabriele joined LE&RN to be part of a global community dedicated to advancing treatments and cures for lymphatic diseases and improving the lives of those affected by lymphatic and related disorders.
