As Science and Medical Director, he will lead initiatives to accelerate research, strengthen clinical care, and expand global awareness of lymphatic diseases.

Over the years, I have seen Ajit's passion firsthand, initially as a lymphatic researcher and then as Co-Chair of LE&RN's India Chapter. It is our great fortune that he has become a member of LE&RN's incredible team that seeks breakthroughs in the science and treatment of lymphatic diseases.”—William Repicci, President and CEO, LE&RN

Dr. Muley began his journey in the lymphatic field at Columbia University Medical Center, where he collaborated with multidisciplinary clinical teams treating individuals living with lymphatic diseases. His research explored the genetic underpinnings of lymphedema and lymphatic malformations, with the goal of developing more targeted, effective care.

Prior to joining LE&RN, Dr. Muley served as Assistant Director of Science Communications at the Cancer Research Institute (CRI), where he led efforts to communicate the latest in cancer immunotherapy research and build collaborations across the scientific and patient communities. In addition, Dr. Muley has contributed to global health organizations and healthcare startups to expand access to vaccines and supporting public health innovation.

Dr. Muley holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Anna University in Chennai, India. In addition to his scientific training, he pursued a Master’s in Strategic Communication at Columbia University, strengthening his ability to connect science with broader audiences and advance mission-driven initiatives through clear, impactful messaging.

For the millions living with lymphatic diseases, often in pain and without answers, Dr. Muley is here to understand and serve you—not only with expertise, but with empathy and urgency.

"Working closely with lymphatic disease patients, I have realized that behind every data point there is a person suffering from lymphatic disease—and their stories matter. I’m honored to join LE&RN in accelerating the science, amplifying patient voices, and building a future where no one faces these diseases alone or in the shadows."—Dr. Ajit Muley, Science and Medical Director, LE&RN
