I have had breast cancer twice since 1995 and lymphadema since 1997. Today it is extremely painful. I am on Social Security Disability. Yesterday had a bad day and was sick could not get out of bed due to the toxins that finally come down into the body. Insurance does not cover things like the sleeves and gauntlets. Yes, you can be covered for treatment but not for the specific office visits ($40) and the bandages. I am happy that Kathy Bates is helping, I have written many letters to so many TV shows during Breast Cancer Awareness month but they never talk about lymphadema during this time. I hope I can get help some day, but it is sad that we have to wait on a celebrity to get the word out. Thank you Kathy!
