My story of lymphedema begins with the birth of my son. My son Dusan was born with lymphedema in both legs. The diagnosis was established when he was eight months. Due to the lack of education on lymphoedema in our country Bosnia and Herzegovina, we were forced to take our son to the other two countries to establish a diagnosis. I am very sorry that in our country there is not enough educated medical staff on lymphatic diseases. I would love to be able to launch a campaign in my country on the education of lymphedema. My son Dusan is now 33 months and we keep his lymphedema under control, thanks to the lymph massage I carry out myself. Thank you for letting me share my story with you and my great wish is that March 6 be World Lymphedema Day.
