Sharon M. Vogel, CLT, MT
Chair, Illinois Chapter
Sharon is committed to her patients and helping them get well. She is an allied health practitioner, a national provider, in her 27th year as a licensed bodyworker, and Founder of National Lymphatic Centers, Inc. Her educational background includes Valedictorian of Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis in Nutrition, Licensed Cosmetologist & Esthetician, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist-CLT, a Certified fitter, and is excited to take her LANA exam in 2018.
Sharon was taught as a child by her mother, a surgical nurse, how to give manual lymphatic drainage. Since then, hands-on therapy has been her forte and gift of touch. International physicians, national surgeons, local physicians and patients refer to her. Her time is shared by: volunteering at the local hospital’s surgical center; sponsoring an LE support group on the second Sunday of each month at 11 am; giving an informational “Lymph Lecture” the second Saturday of each month at 2 pm (address: 3100 Theodore Street, Suite 202, Joliet. RSVP) ; running the clinic; treating patients; and now enthusiastically engaging the Illinois lymphatic community and involving them with LE&RN.
