About the speaker: Matthew Carmody, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Internal Medicine Physician practitioner, teacher, researcher (patient interview, medical practice system change), Primary Care Center at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Carmody is a Lipedema and Obesity medicine lecturer and actively designing enhanced approaches to lipedema and obesity in primary care practice. Catherine Seo, PhD is Founder & Director of Lipedema Simplified, Executive Director of The Lipedema Project, course director for MasterClass: Beyond Lipedema and a professor of psychology.  She produced and directed the documentary, The Disease They Call FAT, and was one of the co-authors of the book, Lipedema-The Disease They Call FAT: An Overview for Clinicians. Dr. Seo, in collaboration with a team of experts, developed a multidisciplinary holistic approach for treating lipedema. She has lipedema, lymphedema, and has struggled with obesity. Catherine brings knowledge, compassion, and humor to living with a chronic condition. Leslyn Keith, OTD, CLT-LANA has a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis on lymphedema and obesity. In addition to treating lymphatic and fat disorders, she currently researches, consults, and lectures on lymphedema, lipedema, and obesity nationally. She is the author of the book The Ketogenic Solution for Lymphatic Disorders: Lose Weight and Dramatically Reduce Lymphatic Swelling and has written several published articles about the efficacy of a ketogenic diet for lymphatic and fat disorders. Dr. Keith is Director of Research and Board President for The Lipedema Project and an instructor for Klose Training and Consulting. Megan Pfeffer, BHSc is an Australian based Clinical Nutritionist with a Health Science Degree in Nutritional & Dietetic Medicine. Megan is Coaching Director, Author, and Clinical Nutritionist for Lipedema Simplified USA, and is on the Medical Advisory Board for The Lipedema Project USA. Specialising in ketogenic diets for the dietary management of obesity, lipedema, lipolymphedema, type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions, Megan follows a ketogenic diet to manage her own health after discovering she had Stage 2 lipedema in early 2019.
