About Joseph Dayan, M.D.
Dr. Joseph Dayan is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the co-director of the Lymphatic Surgery and Research Program. His contributions include the development of reverse lymphatic mapping which allows for the safe harvest of vascularized lymph nodes. Dr. Dayan has also made significant contributions in omentum transfers and lymphatic imaging including ICG lymphography and MRA to tailor the surgical approach to the patient's disease. He collaborates with Dr. Babak Mehrara at MSKCC to investigate medical treatments for lymphedema.  Dr. Dayan serves as president of the American Society for Lymphatic Surgery and advocates for patients as a board member of the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN).
