I decided to pursue a career in physical therapy so that I could help make a positive difference in the lives of others. It was through a clinical experience at UF Health, which motivated my career goals towards treating those impacted by lymphedema. Through the LE&RN scholarship, I have been able to expand my knowledge of lymphedema treatment options to positively impact a large population of patients affected by lymphedema. My goals and hopes for the future are to raise awareness of lymphedema and treatment options and to educate current and future medical professionals about lymphedema.
