About the speaker: Tim Le Cras, PhD is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Dean of Graduate Education , University of Cincinnati & Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The goal of his research program is to investigate the mechanisms underlying vascular anomalies in children and adults. He collaborates with physicians and other scientists both at Cincinnati Children's and other major medical centers who are world-experts in the investigation and treatment of vascular anomalies. Adrienne Hammill, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Research Director, Hemangioma & Vascular Malformations Center, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Her goal is to advance the treatment of vascular anomalies, translating discoveries of the genetic and molecular etiologies of vascular anomalies into clinical practice. As a member of the multidisciplinary Hemangioma & Vascular Malformations Center (HVMC) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, she provides care for patients with vascular anomalies. As Research Director of HVMC, she works with pharmaceutical companies to bring clinical drug trials to patients to improve their function and quality of life, and also collaborate with basic scientists working to understand the biology underlying vascular anomalies and identify new potential therapies.
