About the speaker: Dr. Chen is a clinical professor of plastic surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He serves as the head of regional microsurgery and supermicrosurgery and co-director of Cleveland Clinic’s multidisciplinary lymphedema center. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in lymphatic microsurgery and supermicrosurgery. He pioneered novel procedures such as the “octopus” LVA, high-precision image-guided LVA, “blind” anatomically based LVA, supermicrosurgical vascularized lymph vessel transfer, “flying squirrel” liposuction techniques, and the hybrid lymphatic reconstruction. Many of these procedures have been adopted by lymphedema surgeons worldwide as their mainstays of surgical lymphedema treatment. He has completed 142 invited lectures and keynote presentations around the world. He was invited as visiting professor to 33 academic institutions domestically and abroad to teach his unique supermicrosurgery and lymphedema reconstruction techniques.
