About the speaker: Carrie Reedy, BHSc, (Nut Med), FNLP is a university-qualified Nutritionist with specialist training in Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine. She is passionate about helping people use ‘food as medicine’ to support their health and healing. She advocates lowering carbohydrate intake to promote better blood sugar balance and fuel delivery to the cells of the body, so they can function optimally. Carrie is a certified Keto Coach and has completed training with the Nutrition Network in therapeutic carbohydrate-restricted diets for improving health concerns. She lives in Western Australia, supporting clients globally in achieving their therapeutic and wellness goals. Catherine Seo, PhD is Founder & CEO of Lipedema Simplified & The Lipedema Project, Inc., course director for MasterClass: Beyond Lipedema and a professor of psychology. She produced and directed the documentary, The Disease They Call FAT, and was one of the co-authors of the book, Lipedema-The Disease They Call FAT: An Overview for Clinicians. Dr. Seo’s research focuses on empowering women who experience the distortions of body image and the role of nutrition for treating lipedema. She holds a doctorate in Psychology with a concentration in Media. She has lipedema, lymphedema, and has struggled with obesity. She has dedicated over 40 years to learning and teaching how to bring knowledge, compassion, and humor to living with a chronic condition.
